At Adavi Farms, we are committed to delivering the highest quality A2 ghee and cold-pressed oils. Due to the nature of food products and FSSAI regulations, we have specific guidelines for returns and refunds.

Important: Returns are only accepted for damaged, tampered, or defective products within 2 days of delivery. Change of mind or quality preference are not valid reasons for return as per food safety regulations.

1. Return Eligibility

1.1 Valid Reasons for Return

We accept returns ONLY in the following cases:

  • Damaged Product: Product received in damaged condition during transit
  • Tampered Packaging: Product seal is broken or packaging is tampered with
  • Defective Product: Product has manufacturing defects or quality issues
  • Wrong Product Delivered: You received a different product than ordered
  • Expired Product: Product received with expired best before date
  • Leakage or Spillage: Product jar/container is leaking or spilled

1.2 Non-Returnable Items

The following items CANNOT be returned:

  • Products with intact seals and no quality issues
  • Products returned after 2 days of delivery
  • Products returned without valid proof (photos/videos)
  • Products damaged due to customer mishandling after delivery
  • Products purchased during clearance or special sales (if mentioned as non-returnable)
  • Products where the customer simply changed their mind

2. Return Timeline

2-Day Return Window: You must report any issues within 2 days (48 hours) of receiving your order. Returns requested after this period will not be accepted.

How the 2-day period is calculated:

  • Day 0: Order delivered (as per tracking confirmation)
  • Day 1-2: Window to report issues and initiate return
  • After Day 2: Return requests will not be entertained

3. How to Initiate a Return

1 Document the Issue

Take clear photos or videos showing the damage, tampering, or defect. Include images of the product, packaging, and shipping label.

2 Contact Us Within 2 Days

3 Wait for Approval

Our team will review your request within 24 hours and approve if valid. You'll receive return instructions via email.

4 Ship the Product Back

Pack the product securely with original packaging. We'll provide a return shipping label or arrange pickup if approved.

5 Receive Refund/Replacement

Once we receive and inspect the returned product, we'll process your refund or send a replacement.

4. Proof Requirements

To process your return request, you MUST provide:

  • Clear Photos/Videos: Showing the exact issue (damage, tampering, defect)
  • Unboxing Video: Recommended for high-value orders (helps validate damage claims)
  • Product Label: Photo showing batch number and best before date
  • Packaging: Photo showing outer packaging condition
  • Invoice Copy: Order number or invoice for verification
No Proof = No Return: Without valid photographic or video evidence, we cannot process your return request. This protects both you and us from fraudulent claims.

5. Refund Process

5.1 Refund Timeline

  • Inspection: 1-2 business days after we receive the returned product
  • Approval: If inspection passes, refund is initiated immediately
  • Processing: 5-7 business days to reflect in your account (depends on payment method)

5.2 Refund Methods

  • Original Payment Method: Refund to the same card/UPI/wallet used for purchase
  • Bank Transfer: If original method is not available (requires bank details)
  • Store Credit: Option to receive credit for future purchases (faster processing)

5.3 Refund Amount

  • Full product amount will be refunded
  • Shipping charges refunded only if the issue was our fault (wrong/damaged product)
  • Return shipping costs are borne by us for valid defect claims
  • No deductions will be made for approved returns

6. Replacement Option

Instead of a refund, you may choose to receive a replacement product:

  • Faster Resolution: Replacements are shipped as soon as the return is approved
  • Same Product: We'll send the same product from a fresh batch
  • Quality Guaranteed: Replacement products undergo additional quality checks
  • Free Shipping: No shipping charges for replacement orders
Recommended: If you need the product urgently, choose replacement. It's processed faster than refunds.

7. Return Shipping

7.1 Who Pays for Return Shipping?

  • Our Fault (Damaged/Wrong Product): We provide a prepaid return label or arrange pickup
  • Quality Defects: We cover all return shipping costs
  • Change of Mind (if allowed in exceptions): Customer bears return shipping cost

7.2 Return Packaging

  • Use original packaging if intact
  • Pack securely to prevent damage during return transit
  • Include all original accessories, labels, and documentation
  • Do not write or tape directly on product packaging

8. Exceptions and Special Cases

8.1 Bulk Orders

  • Orders of 10+ units require inspection within 1 day of delivery
  • Photographic evidence of entire shipment must be provided
  • Partial returns may be accepted if only some units are defective

8.2 Gift Orders

  • Returns are accepted with valid proof, even if ordered as a gift
  • Refund will be processed to the original purchaser's payment method
  • Gift recipients should contact the purchaser to initiate returns

8.3 Festival/Sale Orders

  • Same return policy applies during festive sales
  • Higher order volumes during sales may extend processing time by 1-2 days

9. What Happens After Return

9.1 Inspection Process

Once we receive your returned product:

  1. Quality team inspects the product and verifies the reported issue
  2. Photos/videos you provided are cross-checked with actual product condition
  3. Batch details are verified for quality control records
  4. Approval or rejection decision is made within 1-2 business days

9.2 If Return is Approved

  • Refund is initiated immediately to your original payment method
  • OR Replacement product is dispatched within 24 hours
  • You receive email confirmation of refund/replacement

9.3 If Return is Rejected

Returns may be rejected if:

  • Product shows no defect or damage upon inspection
  • Damage was caused by customer after delivery
  • Return timeline (2 days) was exceeded
  • Required proof was not provided

In case of rejection, the product will be returned to you at your shipping cost.

10. Damaged During Transit

If your order arrives damaged:

  • Do not accept delivery if outer packaging is visibly crushed or torn
  • Ask the delivery person to note "damaged packaging" on the delivery receipt
  • Take photos/videos immediately before and after opening
  • Contact us within 24 hours with proof
  • We'll arrange a replacement or full refund immediately
Pro Tip: Record an unboxing video for high-value orders. This serves as undeniable proof in case of damage or missing items.

11. Cancellations

11.1 Before Dispatch

  • Orders can be cancelled free of charge before dispatch
  • Full refund will be processed within 5-7 business days

11.2 After Dispatch

  • Once dispatched, orders cannot be cancelled
  • You may refuse delivery and it will be treated as a return
  • Refund will be processed after product returns to us
  • Shipping charges may be deducted from refund
